“To Eat Somewhere is to Make it a Home”

Tablecloth Tapestry

Created as part of my final year project about domestic cooking. This tablecloth was created to record conversations and memories shared between my female friends and I over the dinner table.  
I was interested in showing both how the act of cooking for other women is an empowering thing but also how women sharing a meal together is a nourishing and restorative act for women.
I drew inspiration from women’s craft traditions to express this idea.
